I am desperately wanting to purchase a home for me and my children. I have a steady income and the down payment but my credit is in bad condition. We desperately need to move from our area, but the rental amounts are too high. I attempted to acquire a loan through Bank Of America, but was denied due to the credit issue. Does anyone know of any lenders that may specialize in this area? Any istance or advice is greatly appreciated

You are a good candidate for a FHA home loan. You will be in a better position for approval if you document all of your "problems" and show them what you did to handle the financial problems that are a sign of the times. You are not alone. No I do not know how you can get a loan with bad credit. May I suggest you take a good look at the economy and realize that one of the reasons we are in such trouble is because people bought houses they really can not afford and now they're facing foreclosure. I would not want you to get into that situation
